FPL Power Outage Update

Here’s the latest update from FPL on the Power Outage: FPL has 1,114,000 customers in Miami-Dade County As of 11am, 78% or 870,450 customers now have power. There are still 22% of customers, or 243,550 without power. FPL has promised that the remaining customers will have power no later than Sunday.

Trash Pickup Update

The City of Miami Springs will begin picking up normal garbage containers today, it will not be the regular schedule, they will comb the city and pick up everything they can. Please remember to bring your containers to your front swale. At the same time crews are also out picking up storm debris today.

Miami-Dade Curfew 7pm – 7am

Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos Gimenez has issued a county wide curfew to start at 7pm Sunday, September 10th through 7am Monday, September 11th. The Miami Springs Police Department will be enforcing the curfew throughout Miami Springs.   Bottom line:  Stay home.  It’s not safe to head out.
